CAMAC International affiliates made a multi-million dollar entry into the transportation services industry in South Africa through Allied School Bus Service. Launched in September, 2004, ASBS is part business investment and part social responsibility program. For the first time since the establishment of the new Republic of South Africa, students in primary and secondary schools in Johannesburg will have school transportation services either from the curb of their homes or from a centrally-located area in their neighborhoods to local schools.
